This mini textile landscape was inspired whilst filming for the BBC, Robson Greens Weekend Escapes, series 2, episode 15. it is made through layering small pieces of fabric and incorporating hand embroidery.

You will learn how to use textured yarns and hand embroidery to embellish your landscape. This creative embroidery kit will introduce you to basic hand embroidery stitches and how to use them creatively. You will use a range of hand painted textured threads and yarns to create hand embroidered flowers and layer fabrics to create a unique background. This kit included photographic step by step instructions and is suitable for all abilities.

This kit includes the following:

Textured fabric 10cm x 7½cm (4” x 3”), white polyester cotton square, grey fabric, blue hand dyed silk, brown velvet, khaki cotton, blue cotton, dark green and blue organzas and green web fabric.

The following variegated yarns : Medium blue yarn, fine brown, fine beige rust, medium/fine grey blue, fine green medium green, very fine blue and khaki, medium yellow, green and yellow viscose ribbon and dark green stranded cotton.

You will need the following equipment: an embroidery hoop (6-8”), a selection of embroidery needles, pins and embroidery scissors.
