This mini textile landscape was inspired by the bluebells at Rannerdale Knott overlooking Crummock water in the Lake District. it is made through layering small pieces of fabric and incorporating hand embroidery.

You will learn how to use textured yarns and hand embroidery to embellish your landscape. This creative embroidery kit will introduce you to basic hand embroidery stitches and how to use them creatively. You will use a range of hand painted textured threads and yarns to create hand embroidered flowers and layer fabrics to create a unique background. This kit included photographic step by step instructions and is suitable for all abilities.

This kit includes the following:

Textured fabric 10cm x 7½cm (4” x 3”), white polyester cotton square, Brown Velvet Blue silk habotai, Green chenille, Green slub satin, Green fine cotton, dark green and blue organzas.

The following variegated yarns : fine brown, fine blue, fine green variegated, green boucle, dark green stranded cotton, green viscose ribbon, straw yellow fine mohair loop boucle, medium blue/purple, blue/purple mohair loop boucle, fine purple variegated, medium green and purple/blue viscose knitted ribbon.

You will need the following equipment: an embroidery hoop (6-8”), a selection of embroidery needles, pins and embroidery scissors.
