Lavender Field

This mini textile landscape is made through layering small pieces of fabric and incorporating hand embroidery.

You will learn how to use textured yarns and hand embroidery to embellish your landscape. This creative embroidery kit will introduce you to basic hand embroidery stitches and how to use them creatively. You will use a range of hand painted textured threads and yarns to create hand embroidered flowers and layer fabrics to create a unique background. This kit included photographic step by step instructions and is suitable for all abilities.

This kit includes the following:

Silk Bourette main fabric 81⁄2cm x 81⁄2cm (31⁄2” x 31⁄2”)

Cotton backing square

Blue silk chiffon

Green textured fabrics - Satin, Velvet, Slub and Fine Cotton

Off white bonded fabric

Purple organza

Fine dark blue/purple yarn

Fine moss green yarn

Fine purple yarn

Medium purple cotton yarn

Green boucle yarn

Purple/ blue Alpaca loop boucle yarn

Medium green cotton yarn

You will need the following equipment: an embroidery hoop (6-8”), a selection of embroidery needles, pins and embroidery scissors.
